Looks like a video of a statue being erected in San Francisco ended up being a perfect metaphor for the way President Donald Trump’s underlings treat him.
A 45-foot-tall sculpture of a nude woman called “R-EVOLUTION” was unveiled Thursday in Embarcadero Park, and, naturally, many people posted videos of the installation process on social media.
One video in particular got traction, mainly because it showed a worker with his head inside the statue’s behind.
Brett Meiselas of the Meidas Touch Network thought the video was a perfect depiction of the way that Trump’s Cabinet has been excessively and obsequiously praising him even as the president’s handling of the economy has been criticized by supporters.
“Live shot of MAGA as they praise Trump while he destroys the economy,” Meiselas captioned his post, which was in reaction to this post by Trump adviser Stephen Miller: “You have been watching the greatest economic master strategy from an American President in history.”
Many people on social media found the post hilarious and sadly accurate.
The most accurate summary of our current circumstances that I’ve ever seen.
