The president said that the conversation was ‘good’ but predicted that peace may not come soon.
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone for more than an hour, signaling that “immediate peace” may not come in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes, by Ukraine, and also various other attacks that have been taking place by both sides,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace.”
