Trump Brags About Shielding Putin, And It’s Not Going Over Well On Social Media

1 month ago 1

Donald Trump may have intended to criticize Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday for “playing with fire,” but many people on social media thought it read more like a confession.

The president took to his Truth Social media platform to declare that Putin “doesn’t realize that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD.”

Trump added that, as a result, the Russian leader is “playing with fire!”

Although it wasn’t clear if Trump was referring to imposing harsher sanctions against Russia because of its ongoing invasion of Ukraine, the post came days after the president criticized Putin for his recent drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian civilians.

The Trump administration apparently thought enough of his tough-talking post to share it on the White House X account.

Many people on social media, however, thought the president may have inadvertently been confessing he’s been in bed with Putin the whole time.

Traitor Donald Trump just confirmed what we all suspected since Helsinki — he's been shielding Putin for years. Vladimir knows you won't do shit! Weak ass. pic.twitter.com/MdauLclARJ

This unredeemable, sick, deranged fuck is literally confessing that without Trump’s complicity, Putin would never have been able to slaughter, rape, torture and kidnap so many innocent Ukrainian citizens. pic.twitter.com/OIFfjuFD7E

Why was our President protecting Putin and not our decades old allies?

What dirt does Putin have on Trump?

Nothing sadder than a tough guy who needs to remind you he's tough, right after admitting to shielding Russia. pic.twitter.com/ZgvGvkpIqW
