The approval for Trump is up from 46 percent in early May.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has surged from 44 to 55 percent following his trip to the Middle East, during he brokered a number of bilateral deals between the US, Arab nations, and businesses.

According to an Insider Advantage poll, which was conducted between May 17-19 with 1,000 likely voters, Trump's net approval rating surged to 55 percent with his disapproval at 44 percent. The margin of error on the poll was +/- 3.09 percent.

Previous to the surge in the polls, Trump's approval had been declining, but with the jump in his approvals, it suggests that Trump is regaining his footing with his base of support as well as with the independents in the country. The approval for Trump is up from 46 percent in early May, when 44 percent disapproved of the president's work in the White House, according to Insider Advantage's last poll, Newsweek reported.

Insider Advantage pollster Matt Towery said of the results, "These results are not a surprise. Other pollsters who accurately polled election cycles where President Trump’s name appeared on the ballot have been showing his approval ratings moving into the fifty-percent plus range."

"Our last survey (conducted jointly with Trafalgar) was one of the first to show that Trump enjoyed a positive rating. But it also showed an unusually high percent of undecided respondents. As I noted at that time, a large undecided number means that opinion is shifting but has not consolidated. Since then those undecideds have moved heavily towards approval of President Trump’s job performance," he added.

Trump's trip to the Middle East was highlighted by the administration as a success, with deals brokered between the US and Saudi Arabia and Trump emphasized the US' success in brokering peace between India and Pakistan after conflict between the two nuclear powers broke out earlier this month.
