Social Media Tells Ugly Truth About Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill'

1 month ago 2

Although the One Big Beautiful Bill Act pushed by President Donald Trump passed the house early Thursday morning ― very early! ― there are lots of elements in the funding package that are pretty darn ugly.

For instance, if the bill passes the Senate, that would mean $700 billion in reduced Medicaid spending and 8.6 million fewer American citizens having health care over the next decade, according to a Congressional Budget Office estimate.

The bill passed in the House on a very slim vote ― 215 to 214 ― and it appears it may face challenges getting passed in the Senate, thanks to Republicans concerned the bill will add to the deficit.

Not surprisingly, many people on social media pointed out the ugly aspects of the “big, beautiful bill” passed by the House.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky) criticized the bill before it even passed, calling it a “ticking debt bomb.”

I’d love to stand here and tell the American people “we can cut your taxes and increase spending and everything will be fine.”

But I can’t because I’m here to deliver a dose of reality about the ticking debt bomb known as the “Big Beautiful Bill.” pic.twitter.com/eLT5GwNj11

Other politicians and thought leaders chimed in after the House passed the bill.

Early this morning, House Republicans passed Trump's "big, beautiful" budget bill to kick millions of Americans off Medicaid and fund tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations - but not before they snuck in even more changes that will make life harder for the most vulnerable…

The “big, beautiful” bill ain’t beautiful—it’s bullshit.

House Republicans just voted for the largest cut to SNAP & Medicaid in U.S. history—turning their backs on their own damn constituents: the working people they were sent here to represent.

They don’t serve the people.…

BREAKING: Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are popping champagne because House Republicans JUST passed Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”

This bill is a BIG tax handout for billionaires, paid for by ripping health insurance from 14 MILLION people.

We must stop this from passing the Senate. pic.twitter.com/JxHN0yWpMT

In the early morning hours when no one was watching House Republicans passed a bill that takes health care away from 13.7M Americans & raises grocery costs for 3M Americans—all to give the top 0.1% tax breaks of $250,000.

Their “big beautiful bill” is really a big betrayal.

It’s not a “big, beautiful bill.” It’s a cruel, irresponsible bill. It hurts low income & working class families, and it dramatically increases the debt & the deficit. And btw, if it’s so big & beautiful, why did they pass it in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping?

Take a good look at the House Republicans who passed Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill." These are the motherfuckers who give ZERO fucks about you. These are the motherfuckers who give ZERO fucks about your family. These are the motherfuckers who give ZERO fucks about kids with cancer. pic.twitter.com/IpRtjS0KAS

Holy cow. MSNBC just broke down Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” and it’s not good “If you're in the top 20%, you get a 3.7% increase in after-tax income. If you're in the bottom, you lose $800. You get a large cut in Medicaid & other benefits.” Yikes. pic.twitter.com/nQTCwJ2YyE

He calls it “The One Big Beautiful Bill.” Let’s be honest, it’s one big flaming scam: a cocktail of corporate handouts, culture war garbage, and cold-blooded cruelty.

Massive tax cuts? Sure, if you're a billionaire. For working families? Cuts to food stamps, Medicaid, student… pic.twitter.com/ZQue2PgD1s

Maybe Democrats should call the GOP megabill: "Reverse Obamacare" - Americans lose health care, the rich get their tax cuts, and the deficit explodes. https://t.co/TIfEjHVOEN
