RFK Jr. Mocked For Using 1 Of Donald Trump’s Most Eye-Roll-Inducing Lines

1 month ago 2

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. drew mockery on social media Monday after appearing to borrow one of President Donald Trump’s most ridiculed catchphrases.

During a press event promoting Trump’s latest executive order aimed at lowering prescription drug prices, Kennedy praised the move in dramatic terms.

“I have a couple of kids who are Democrats, big Bernie Sanders fans,” Kennedy said. “And when I told them that this was gonna happen, they had tears in their eyes — as if this is never gonna happen in our lifetime, and we finally have a president who is willing to stand up for the American people.”

Critics were quick to point out that the “tears in their eyes” line sounded somewhat familiar.

Indeed, Trump has frequently deployed the phrase — but more often than not without evidence to back up the claim — in speeches and social media posts boosting his own accomplishments and berating opponents.

Oh man. Not another one with tears in their eyes 🥹🥹

Oh gawd. It’s the ‘tears in their eyes’ narrative again. Lol Big strong men with tears in their eyes.. ‘OHHHH THANK YOU Sir, Mr President, oh saviour of mankind!’ Lol. Shall we ask RFK’s kids what their REAL reaction was? Laughter, most probably.
