'Reckless Lunatic': Trump Critics Flabbergasted By His Latest Pick For A Crucial Post

1 month ago 3

President Donald Trump on Thursday hired yet another Fox News host for a key role in his administration as he named Jeanine Pirro interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C.

And even his most frequent critics were left stunned by the move.

Pirro, a former county prosecutor and elected judge, has for the last two decades spent far more time on TV than in any courtroom.

However, she has been an unwaveringly loyal voice for Trump on the air and helped advance his false claims about the 2020 election.

Trump’s critics reacted:

Pirro is the 23rd former Fox employee Trump has named to his administration.

She's wildly unqualified to be DC's top prosecutor and was been described by her former executive producer as a "reckless lunatic."

Gonna thread some of her lowlights. https://t.co/z7wjcFw4VQ

Perhaps this is all a clever plan by Trump to put Fox News out of business by hiring away all of their hosts. https://t.co/vnIYAjX90S

Every day it's more nonsense. I honestly cannot believe we're going to have another 3 years and 8 months of this bullshit. https://t.co/2UgSME9Atg

I was going to make a joke about Jesse Waters becoming Commerce Secretary and then I thought…better not give him any ideas. https://t.co/hKpCtFxMqv

I’m sure Jeanine Pirro will just be working hard in the office on personnel issues and supervising big cases/investigations and won’t have time to do a bunch of Fox interviews because she will be totally focused on the job.

The country is essentially being run by a slew of infomercial hosts, quack remedy salesmen, and mafia goons. Are you paying attention, America? Because these loons are going to break everything, and we'll be the ones to suffer. https://t.co/2W9PIOYmpq

If we weren’t a banana republic before, we are now. Jeanine Pirro as U.S. Attorney for DC? She hasn’t practiced law in 20 years. She’s not a prosecutor—she’s a wine-soaked loudmouth with a camera. This is obscene. pic.twitter.com/rMXJTKc8K5

He really is not a serious president. It's all a reality TV show to him. Our lives are a reality TV show to him. https://t.co/AeVAjVjwT5
