NEW: Trump announces he will pay for two massive flags at White House

While walking the White House lawn on Wednesday, President Donald Trump unveiled his latest move—installing two massive flagpoles to fly the American flag.

Trump personally selected the spots for the flagpoles, which will each stand nearly 100 feet tall and be placed on either side of the White House. He stated the project will be privately funded.

“We’re putting up a beautiful, almost 100-foot-tall American flag on this side and another one on the other side, two flags top of the line,” he said. “It’s going to be two beautiful poles.”

The poles, he confirmed, will not be paid for by taxpayers. “Paid for by Trump,” he said.
