Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) may have repeatedly gone to battle against Donald Trump over his decision to bomb Iran. But woe betide any members of the press who point out the far-right lawmaker’s rare split from the president.
Greene this weekend warned Americans “now fear Iranian terrorists attacks on our soil” as a direct consequence of Trump’s strike. On Monday, she also accused the president of pulling a “bait and switch” on his MAGA campaign vow not to enter the U.S. into conflicts abroad.
But amid questions of her loyalty to Trump, she later wrote on X:
“The press and some other nasty people would love to write lying headlines and create dirty rumors that there’s a break between me and President Trump.
“WRONG,” she claimed, alongside her and Trump’s initials with a heart emoji in between.

WRONG.

Greene also shared footage of her cutting short a telephone interview with a journalist who’d pressed her on what’s behind her apparent willingness to split with the president.
Greene insisted she’s always been Trump’s “most outspoken ally” and “nothing has changed,” said she perceived the interview as “more of an attack piece on me,” that it was “absolute bullshit” and she would “completely reject it.”
The lawmaker warned the reporter not to put “out a complete narrative about me that is not true” and when asked if she’s talked to Trump directly, she replied: “I don’t have to answer any more of your questions because I am sick and tired of your narrative and I’m calling it out as complete and total bullshit.”

I just ripped a reporter for his attempt to smear me, lie about me, and push a fake narrative that I don’t support President Trump.
Here’s what I had to say to him 👇 pic.twitter.com/yKjgiuXGzS
