Marjorie Taylor Greene Flipped Out About 'Weirdos' And You Know What Happened Next

1 month ago 3

Conspiracy theorist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Wednesday said the American people can decide “who the weirdos are.”

And Greene’s critics are letting her know on social media exactly who they think fits the bill: Her.

The moment came during a DOGE subcommittee hearing on trans athletes, which Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), the ranking member, slammed as a “distraction.”

Stansbury said:

“Maybe it has something to do with the failure of the president in the first 100 days, that his approval ratings have declined by 14%. Maybe it’s to distract from the reality that our economy is tanking and prices are going up. Maybe it’s because the budget that came to Congress last week doubles down on proposals to take food out of the mouths of children.”

“Why is this the centerpiece of the Republicans here on Capitol Hill?” she asked. “Honestly, it’s weird and it’s wrong,”

One of those last words seemed to trigger Greene, the subcommittee chair, who fired back later as she railed against “cultural Marxism” and “perverted sexual ideas.”

“I’ll let the American people decide who the weirdos are because I think we know,” Greene said.

Greene is a conspiracy theorist who spoke at a white nationalist event in 2022. She once theorized that a laser in space could have caused wildfires in California and name-dropped a prominent Jewish family often at the center of antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Given that background, her critics were quick to point out on X who they think the “weirdo” is:

Oh, we certainly do.

Marjorie saying she’ll let America decide who the weirdos are is like a foghorn volunteering to be the judge of a whispering contest — loud, clueless, and blissfully unaware of the irony.

Oh yes, we definitely know…
