Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany said Sunday that President Donald Trump’s decision to attack Iran over the weekend meant that “every dictator in the world is on notice now.”
McEnany, a White House press secretary in Trump’s first term and a staunch supporter of her former boss, said the American bombing of Iranian nuclear sites sent a “powerful message” to authoritarian leaders worldwide.
Some critics on social media described McEnany’s comments as “dangerous” and risked whipping up anti-American sentiment.
Others argued it “must be a joke,” given Trump’s past praise for strongmen such as North Korea’s Kim Jong Un and Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
Many, though, joked that she was actually talking about Trump.
Yes, so glad we don’t have one of our own, that would terrible.

— Dashing Downward (@DashingDownward) June 23, 2025But most dictators out there are Trumps “friends”!!
— rbpotts (@rbpotts1) June 23, 2025Kayleigh: Except Trump. He’s the center of my heart, and I will follow him blindly and completely. Mmmm…Koolaid. My favorite.
— Bottom of the Main Line (@MainLineSpy) June 23, 2025They're putting Trump on notice?
— Billie Nelson (@Mamabenergy2) June 23, 2025Must be a joke. Trump literally praised Kim Jong-un, envied Putin, and tried to overturn democracy at home.
If every dictator is on notice, it’s probably just to let them know the fan club’s back in town.
