The FBI Seattle Field Office and local law enforcement partners are investigating an attack on a Tesla charging station that occurred early Tuesday morning in Lacey, Washington. Authorities responded to reports of a loud explosion and discovered damage to an electric vehicle charging station. There were no reported injuries, according to police.

The incident occurred around 1:34 am at the Tesla charging station in the parking lot located near a Target at 655 Sleater Kinney Road Southeast, Lacey police said.

Lacey Police Sgt. Jeremy Knight said in a press release that "officers were dispatched to a malicious mischief call" after multiple 911 callers "described hearing a loud noise in the area." Officers arrived on the scene and "discovered the electric vehicle charging station had been damaged," said Knight.

FBI Seattle spokesperson Steve Bernd told The Post Millennial in a statement that the federal agency is "working with our partners to determine exactly what happened."

Photos shared online show extensive damage to a 12-station Tesla charging center. The main control box appears to have been charred and blown out, leaving significant debris in the parking lot.

A nearby business owner posted about the matter in a Facebook group and wrote: "Lacey Supercharger is going to be offline for a while. Update. It was a bombing. FBI is here. We own the property adjacent and are looking through cameras," said Dan Solie.

Investigators have not confirmed if the case is being investigated as a bombing incident.

This is one of several Tesla-related attacks in Washington state in recent weeks, which appear to stem from Elon Musk's role in the Trump administration as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The FBI and Department of Justice have been investigating some of the incidents as domestic terrorism.

In addition to the attack in Lacey, south of Seattle, the FBI and local law enforcement partners are investigating a number of other cases involving firebombing and vandalism of Tesla property in the area.

On March 13, a Tesla vehicle parked in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, the former Antifa-BLM CHAZ zone, was set on fire. A gas can was found at the site. On March 10, several Tesla cybertrucks were set on fire in Seattle's SODO neighborhood. On March 9, a suspect vandalized several Tesla vehicles with Nazi symbols at a service station in Lynnwood, Washington, just north of Seattle.

The suspect(s) in these cases remain at large, FBI Seattle told The Post Millennial.
