“The Daily Show” host Desi Lydic revived her parody right-wing persona on Thursday to take aim at conservative media’s defense of Donald Trump amid the president’s Qatari jet controversy.
Lydic sarcastically mocked personalities on Fox News and Newsmax who have downplayed concerns over the potential conflicts of interest and security fallout from the gift.
“I’ve been watching Fox for 747 hours straight,” Lydic quipped after her spoof character’s almost-NSFW punch line blasting “the left” for “trying to cockpit-block our favorite president.”
“How about instead of focusing on whether the plane is ‘objectively illegal,’ you focus on the fact that it’s objectively badass?” she joked.
