Critics Taunt Donald Trump For Delivering Worst Ever Ad For His Own Phone

1 week ago 1

President Donald Trump faced ridicule on Tuesday as critics suggested he’d delivered the perfect anti-advertisement for the newly launched Trump-branded smartphone.

Just hours after the Trump Organization unveiled its latest venture — “Trump Mobile” — the president said he doesn’t “believe in telephones.” Trump made the comment while explaining to reporters on Air Force One why he cut short his attendance at the G7 summit in Canada.

Trump said he left the gathering of world leaders early to return to Washington, D.C., so that he could address rising tensions between Israel and Iran.

Q: What can you do in Washington that you couldn't do in Canada?

TRUMP: Just be a little bit, ah, I think more well-versed. Not having to use telephones so much, because I don't believe in telephones, because people like you listen to them. pic.twitter.com/0fJdvXmMmf

When asked what he could do in the U.S. capital that he couldn’t do in Canada, Trump responded: “Just be a little bit, I think, more well-versed. Not having to use telephones so much, because I don’t believe in telephones. Because people like you listen to them, you know, so being on the scene is much better.”

Critics highlighted the irony, noting how Trump’s dismissal of telephones clashed with the announcement of the phone company.

Doesn’t believe in telephones; but spends all day tweeting. Sure buddy

Listen to this and then remember that they just launched Trump Mobile the previous day... this is beyond parody.

".. I don't believe in telephones.."

But, but, in Art Of the Deal he bragged about how much he used the phones and how he made deals on the phone, how the phone was his best tool for making deals.

I wish he'd just phone it all in and stay away.

Help me out here, please. So he doesn’t “believe in telephones,” and he is also launching “Trump Mobile,” and will be selling phones??

The guy selling phones has spoken.

President Trump says he doesn't believe in telephones, literally the day after his family launched a phone brand called Trump Mobile pic.twitter.com/H1Qb7lwESD

I'm not sure saying you don't believe in the very technology that is your newest grift is the best sales pitch. https://t.co/ygs8DEitQk

He really is just plain nuts. And not in a fun way.

“Not having to use telephones so much, because I don't believe in telephones” he said just before he grabbed his telephone, logged into his website and posted something about the US owning the skies over Iran.
