"Maryland man" Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration after evidence showed that he was a member of MS-13, is being returned to the US to face criminal charges of human trafficking.
According to Fox News' Bill Melugin, Garcia has been charged with federal human trafficking, per an indictment from the Department of Justice. He allegedly smuggled illegal immigrants into the US from 2015 to 2016 while he was a member of MS-13.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that Abrego Garcia landed in the United States, where he will face the charges of human trafficking.
"On May 21, a grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee returned a sealed indictment charging Abrego Garcia with alien smuggling and conspiracy to commit alien smuggling in violation of Title 8, USC, 1324."
"We want to thank President Bukele lay for agreeing to return Abrego Garcia to the United States. Our government presented El Salvador with an arrest warrant, and they agreed to return him to our country, we're grateful to President Bukele lay for agreeing to return him to our country to face these very serious charges," Bondi added.
After the MS-13 gang member was deported to El Salvador along with others, Democratic politicians have attacked the Trump administration for sending him and other gang members to the country's CECOT prison, with even Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen taking a trip down to El Salvador to see Abrego Garcia.
Bondi added, "The grand jury found that over the past 9 years, Abrego Garcia has played a significant role in an alien smuggling ring. They found this was his full-time job, not a contractor. He was a smuggler of humans and children and women. He made over 100 trips the grand jury found smuggling people throughout our country."
In addition to the charges, police suspected the MS-13 gang member of human trafficking during a routine traffic stop. He has also been accused by his wife of being abusive.
Despite this, mainstream outlets as well as Democrats have made him appear as a "Maryland father" who was wrongly deported from the country.
