BREAKING: Karmelo Anthony advocacy group says he has been moved to an 'undisclosed location'

Karmelo Anthony has reportedly moved into hiding as he, as well as his family, have been hit with death threats, the activist group representing Anthony has said.

Anthony has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf and has claimed self-defense in the Texas case. He was placed on house arrest by Judge Angela Tucker after she lowered his bond from $1 million to $250,000, as the case has gained national attention since Metcalf was fatally stabbed in early April.

Activist group Next Generation Action Network (NCAN), which has been working to do communications for Anthony, said on Monday that the court approved a decision to move Anthony from his family's home for fears over his safety, the Daily Mail reported. NCAN said that the removal from his house was necessary to "ensure his immediate safety."

The group added that there has been an "alarming increase in death threats, continued harassment, and physical intimidation targeted at the family's home" over recent days.

According to the release, there have been people taking photos as well as loitering around Anthony's home and that there have been unwanted food deliveries made to "disturb and harass the family," NCAN claimed.

"We are sharing images and documentation of the threats the family has faced this past weekend to make the public aware of the dangerous atmosphere that has been created — an atmosphere fueled by organized hate, systemic racism, and intentional misinformation," the group added in the release.

The group cited a mailer with Autin Metcalf's obituary showing up at their house as well as people showing up with unwanted food deliveries as reason for Anthony moving, along with other photos in the release.

In addition to this, the group cited the "Protect White Americans" rally that was organized by Jake Lang, and drew around 40 protesters who claimed to be in support of Metcalf's family after the killing, and about 20 counter protesters showed up, per the New York Post. NCAN said that the situation has "reached such a dangerous level that the Anthony family was forced to evacuate Karmelo Anthony" and moved him to an "undisclosed location."
