Multiple law enforcement agencies are currently responding to an ongoing situation at Trump Tower in New York where someone reportedly tried to gain access to the building’s roof.
The individual’s motive is not yet known. Reporting from Oliya Scootercaster described the suspect as an “emotionally disturbed person.”
The NYPD’s Technical Assistance Response Unit (TARU) and Hostage Negotiation Team are on site, according to several reports, and the FBI may be assisting.
The suspect is believed to still be inside. The situation is ongoing.
This isn’t the first time Trump properties have become flashpoints for political protests. In March, left-wing activists stormed Trump Tower in New York City over the ICE arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, chanting slogans and holding signs in support of Palestine. Months earlier, in November 2024, anti-Israel demonstrators protested Donald Trump’s election outside Trump Tower Chicago. That event was led by a group linked to convicted PFLP terrorist Rasmea Odeh.
