Emergency crews arrived to find four pedestrians with injuries. Two of them were taken to the hospital.

A hit-and-run on a downtown university campus in Toronto left four people hurt Tuesday afternoon, according to police and paramedics.

The incident took place around 2 pm on Nelson Mandela Walk at Toronto Metropolitan University, near Yonge Street and Gerrard Street East.

Emergency crews arrived to find four pedestrians with injuries. Two of them were taken to the hospital, reports CTV News.

Paramedics said one person was transported with serious injuries, while the other victim’s condition was not immediately clear. The remaining two individuals were treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

Police confirmed that the vehicle involved did not stay at the scene.
