Texas has joined Louisiana as the second state to require every public school classroom in the state to display the Ten Commandments. Gov. Greg Abbott signed the bill into law on June 20 and it takes effect on Sept. 1.

The law requires classrooms to display a poster or framed English translation of the commandments that is at least 16-by-20 inches and able to be read from anywhere in the classroom.
